Mariusz Szczygiel in his book, talking about Janina Turek, writes: “In the daily routine there is always something happening. We hurry countless small tasks without expecting that they will leave traces in our memory, even less in others. In fact our actions are not carried out in order to remain in the memory, but by necessity. Over time, every taken effort in our daily bustle is delivered to oblivion”.

Janina Turek, housewife of Krakow, has chosen as the object of her observation only what is daily, those hundreds of small actions that accompany our life. No comments. No emotions. Only observation and a detailed list. Objects, food, clothing, small things of everyday life are the center of our thinking for this installation/performance inspired and dedicated to Janina Turek. The so many things that, in a more or less disorder way, crowd our homes – that are used every day or forgotten – are always the gods and the spirits of our daily lives.
